For more than two decades, the NAMIC Annual Awards Breakfast has taken place during the National Cable & Telecommunications Association’s Cable Show and is now part of Cable Connection-Spring.

Since 2006, NAMIC has honored 20 Next Generation Leaders and 39 Luminaries at this event — executives of color who not only demonstrate exceptional practices of diversity and inclusion, but are also the future leaders of the growing cable telecommunications industry.

The Annual Awards Breakfast was held during the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) Cable Show to honor industry executives and/or organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to diversity and to NAMIC.

Next Generation Leaders

Since it's inception in 2006, the Next Generation Leaders Awards have recognized up-and-coming executives that are exemplifying NAMIC’s mission to educate, advocate and empower for multi-ethnic diversity in the communications industry.  The Next Generation Leaders Awards were presented during the NAMIC Annual Awards Breakfast held as part of Cable Connection–Spring. 

Executives of color age 45 or under were eligible to be nominated for Next Generation Leaders Awards in three categories: Cable MSO, Cable Programmer and Technology Company or Discipline.

NAMIC & Multichannel News to Honor Next Generation Leaders at the NCTA Cable Show

Industry movers and shakers gathered the morning of Monday, May 19th in New Orleans for NAMIC’s Annual Awards Breakfast to honor— for the third consecutive year— Next Generation Leaders. Presented in partnership with Multichannel News, the breakfast was scheduled from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. at the New Orleans Convention Center.

NAMIC will recognized Next Generation Leaders and Luminaries in cable and technology.
